Books to Read

Hi, sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been so busy (bad excuse, sorry), and I felt guilty. So I have decided to begin compiling my list of books that everyone should read before they die.

1.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
This book has a special place in my heart, as it was the book that inspired me to read, and I have grown to love reading. To be honest, I put off reading it until I was in 3rd grade, and I have regretted not reading it before that, because it is an amazing book, and it helped me out of my shell, and I hope that everyone else who reads it will enjoy it as much as I did (and still do). This is a must-read, for everyone, young and old.

2.
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
John Green is a literary genius. In TFIOS, he showcases the truth of human sorrow, humor, and ability to love. It has all the awful morbidness and passion of a poetic tragedy, such as Romeo and Juliet, but instead of the looming threat of family disgrace, the whim of death hangs over them, waiting to fall and end the small infinity of Hazel Grace Landcaster and Augustus Waters.

3.
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Some might say that The Lightning Thief teaches us nothing. But it does. The Lightning Thief, through the noble and determined Percy Jackson, teaches us that there is a hero that can be found in everyone, if rightly provoked. And that, above mortality, or grief, or sorrow, gives anyone and everyone who reads it, hope. If enough hope can be released into the air, like Pandora's Jar, we can be deluded into a sort of spiteful happiness.

To be continued...

Add Keeper of the Lost Cities! All of these are pretty well known, so it might be good to add one that isn't quite as well-known.
